I am socially and fiscally conservative. I even read that constitution through a textualist lens. But more than anything else, I am in favor of clear judgement. Reality and rationality. I will call out any bulls**** that i see, anywhere, regardless of what party it is associated with. And I have been seeing a bit too much lately with DOGE.

I want, more than anything, for tax payer dollars to not be wasted. Esoeically not on Diversity equity and inclusion programs. Not only is it a misnomer, as it does not promote diversity of thought in nearly any way whatsoever, (Unless of course you would like to admit that women and men are inherently different, which we all know people in favor of these programs will never do), but it often has nothing to do with the jobs that must be done in the federal government. However, DOGE, while cutting down abuses imposed on with federal government departments and agencies, has thus seemed incapable of separating the wheat from the chaff.

Firign probationary workers? Yes. Getting rid of DEI programs, absolutely. Ensuring that there is no anti christian bias? Yes. Ensuring that the United States is not funding a warperd version of sexual revultion globallyt? I am all for it. Every part of me wants to be proud of the work that Donald Trump and his team are doing. As of now, the person I am the most impressed by, and I am sure that most of us can agree on this, is JD Vance. I am grateful to President trump for every single exectuive order that he has put in place. And yet, at the same time, I am worried about the precedent that it sets for the next incoming president, especially if it a emocrat. Are we in for an era of executive orders? Is the next elected democrat going to come in and crush everyhting that Donald Trump is attempting to build by utitlizing the same political tactics that he is using now?
This prospect worries me, and it should worry you too. With every election the pendulum swings, and each election it swings a bit further in the opposite direction. In a conversation I had about four years ago, a friend stated that they were worried about the state of our coutnry should leftist propaganda triumph and that we were on the same track as Europe. I said i woul dbe more afraid fo epople being fed up for having a brain, and there being such a massive conservative movement that it will lean authoritarian, and that even I will not be able to agree with it. As I personally am conservative, while leaning slightly libertarian. In this, I am having mixed feelings. While i agree completely with the "what" of each and every executive order, I am unsure how to feel that trump is exercising this executive right so freely. Many conservatives would say "well they would do it to us", but i would beg to argue, they ARE us. We are supposed to be one country. And each step that a president makes to increase executive power entices the next executive of the opposing party to say the same, "Well they would do it to us.". Where does it lead us ? I truly would like to know. Do you honestly believe that escalation is the way to get this country on track? I am likely out of my depth here, and ill freely admit to that. I agree that there needed to be measures taken to end the lunacy running rampant in this country, but I am unsure as to whethe ror not a million executive orders was the way to do it. Now, DOGE. What i will say first, is this. It is clear that Elon and his DOGE boys have absolutely no concept of the human person. Every firing is simply a number to them. This is exceptionally dangerous water to be dipping our toes into here.

So, what is DOGE? DOGE is a new area of oversight implimented by president trump. It is the department of government efficiency.
It is up to the executive who he keeps and who he does not. I am well aware of this. However, a friends of mine simply showed up to work one day unable to access her email. And the next day was told that she should not come in to work. For a few weeks she was not told whether or not she had a job at all, and was unsure of whether she would be paid, or when she shold start looking for a new job.

Another friend of mine, three years from her pension, has also been left in the dark on her employment status.

THese people are not DEI. these are women who have children and have spent their entire working career in the hope of helping people in underdeveloped nations. These are good, kid, generoud people, who have risked their lives going into some of the most dangerous areas of the world with hopes of aiding them and represtnign their country, And ont of these two people was also conservative and voted for Donald Trump.

The issue that I have with DOGE right now comes from two angles. On one hand I am a huge fan of cutting back goverment spending. I am completey in favor of getting rid of anything that has been complacent funding the harmful asepcts of DEI. All of those things, I hope, go withot saying,
However, Elon Musk has not only left thousands of families stranded in foreign countries unknowing of whether or not they were employed, and, if they were, wondering how they were going to get back to the United States BUT he is also alientating allies in the process. They can say whatever they like on the news and on twitter. I am in germany currently, and I am living it.

But when it comes to the FBI and the CIA, there are conservative who voted for trump and are now beginning to hate him, as there are people getting fired who were never in decision making positions and would have preferred to work uner trump than Biden or harris.
Now, the problem is not that people are getting fired. It is the lack of organizarion in the firing.
